This track is practically flawless. The chemistry between the two of these guys is evident in the quality of the track and in their twitter jests at each other’s sister and mom. The song features Rudy on vocals with Alesso & DIrty taking over with a sublime guitar & piano melody building into a drop with smooth strings, uplifting synth chords, dextrous key play and a determined bass line. I had originally thought that this summer had been devoid of truly great anthems to hang its hat on, but with some of the releases today and recently, I think that has been remedied, with Alesso coming through with two of them on not only “City Of Dreams”, but also “Years“. Dirty South has also announced his “City Of Dreams” tour which will take him all across North America starting this Thursday in Tallahassee and finishing November 24th in LA. Events | All Mixed Up: Sebastian Ingrosso, Alesso & Otto Knows NYC Halloween Weekend

After putting out a mysterious cube with their names on it and a second that clearly said Pier 94 and possibly Nassau Colosseum with the pretext of a Halloween show, we can now put all of the pieces together. Sebsastian Ingrosso, Alesso and Otto Knows will be playing both Pier 94 and Nassau Colosseum, being dubbed “The Haunted Colosseum” for the occasion, on October 27th for Halloween weekend. This means that NYC will not only have the inaugural Sensation America, but also this event on the same weekend. Not entirely sure how they will get the artists back and forth from the venues and how the set times will work, but Refune is a professional bunch and they wouldn’t have done this without having all of the logistics figured out in advance. Presale tickets go on sale this Thursday, August 23rd at noon EST and the general sale is this Friday, August 24th at noon EST, which means there are these tickets to get, as well as Electric Adventure tickets with the aforementioned Alesso on Friday. This is pure genius. House music and roller coasters, it is a match made in heaven. Six Flags was a staple of my childhood, with class trips heading down to Jackson, NJ to enjoy such great rides like Nitro, Kingda Ka , Superman, Batman and more (Kingda Ka either had a 6 hour line or was broken). With Dada Life, Arty, Lazy Rich, Excision, Super Mash Bros & Dj Bl3nd bringing the party to the revelers of this great amusement park on Saturday October 6th from 12pm until 11pm, this will be a day you would not forget. Just imagine doing whatever it is you do for a typical Alesso, Arty or Lazy Rich concert and then going on a really fast roller coaster — whoa. You know you want to go. Tickets go on sale this Friday, August 24th at noon.

Whoa, so this just happened. The official preview for Alesso & Dirty South’s collaboration “City Of Dreams” just dropped with the release date coming in just 8 days. If you follow Alesso & Dirty South on twitter, you know about their jokes at the expense of each other’s mom and sister respectively, so this collaboration was only a matter of time. This will be the anthem of the end of the summer with “Don’t You Worry Child” and will get some serious airtime at festivals like Electric Zoo. The legendary Essential Mix takes us to Privilege Ibiza, the biggest club in the world as certified by the Guinness Book of World Records where Alesso & Sebastian Ingrosso played a 90 minute back 2 back set chock full of unreleased tracks like the Swedish House Mafia’s recently radio debuted track “Don’t You Worry Child“, Sebastian Ingrosso’s collab with Tommy Trash “Reload”, Steve Angello’s upcoming single “Lights” with fellow Size label mates Third Party and more. They go through an extensive selection of both of their recent discographies as well as some of the biggest tracks from the past several months, molding them together into seamless bootlegs. Host, Pete Tong started off the night with some purposeful, groovy tech, house and progressive with Italian legend, Benny Benassi closing out the night with one of his eclectic, high energy sets. Happy Saturday everyone, “Years” is finally out. After hearing this played countless times on radio shows by Pete Tong, Sebastian Ingrosso and Swedish House Mafia and seeing the song evolve over the last several months, it is a relief to have this one finally be released. Matthew Koma has become one of the most in demand vocalist’s lately, with his vocal edit of “Sparks” and “Spectrum” already under his belt. Alesso delivers on a sublime piano melody with a complex snare based bass line to create this blissful festival sized track. Expect “Years” to get some heavy play the end of this summer as the dog days of August wind down and Fall approaches.
