Melbourne-based beat-maker Will K kicks off his 2016 with the release of ‘Marsch’, via OXYGEN Recordings, a division of Spinnin’ Records Dutch Empire on the 11th of January. Embodying a dark, tribal-groove throughout, Marsch’s drops constantly evolve via a combination of pounding drums, percussion and risers. On the flipside, the break also incorporates an entrancing vocal layered over break-beat patterns, before leading into an ever-intensifying snare-driven build for the final drop.

On birthdays, people usually enjoy receiving gifts, and Hardwell probably received many, but he also took his birthday last week as an opportunity to give back. “Blackout” was his gift to his fans for the continued support over the years. Although Hardwell has been at the top and stayed there, he’s been making an effort to remain humble and use his influence for good, much like how he did when he broke the record for the world’s biggest guest list with a show in Mumbai, while also raising enough money for educating 18,000 under privileged children. Moldovan DJ/Producer Max Vangeli has teamed up with Armada Music to launch NoFace Records. For the first release of the label, Max combines his skills with singer-songwriters Francis Marvel and Kacie Marie to conjure ‘Shine’ which is available from the 11th of January. The track brings a multitude of sweet vibes and rhythms to the table, twisting and turning to come out on top as a Progressive whirlwind full of emotions. As the start of something inexplicably good, this is ‘Shine’.

There must be something in the European waters because 19-year-old Swede OLWIK just came out with another smashing tune. Less than a month ago, he introduced a brand new style he classifies as “progressive pop” with a remix of Halsey’s “New Americana.” The track quickly hauled in 100,000 plays and has received an abundance of positive feedback. OLWIK recently signed to Linc Music under Sony Music Sweden and has now released his first original with them. The record, “Fight No More,” spotlights the timeless soulful vocals of Terri B!, who has been previously featured on “Blind Heart” by Cazzette. Solo progressive up-and-comer Chris Schambacher, has dished out some tasty progressive-trance that has caught the eye of Above and Beyond members. “Endeavor” is the tune which made it on the air via Group Therapy #160, an achievement many compete for, but few get. “Endeavor” certainly has a good flow. Nothing within either the percussion or synth work sounds generic or default, very original and hypnotic all-around.

When Kaskade endorses your music, you know its a good sign. He first signed the duo Fairchild, with thier single “I Just Want You” which is not too far off from 1 Million plays on Soundcloud. After the initial signing and postivie reviews from fans online, you can bet more music was coming.
