French producer DJ Snake seems to know no bounds when it comes to creating today’s biggest party hits. His song with Lil Jon “Turn Down For What” took over radio waves and festival sets across the world in 2014, followed by “You Know You Like It” with AlunaGeorge, which went 2x platinum last year. And just recently, he was awarded a 2016 Billboard Music Award for Top Dance/Electronic Song for his collaborative track “Lean On” with Major Lazer.
Released as the second single from his upcoming debut album, his newest track “Talk” stands as another ambitious piece that is destined for radio play. Following the album’s first track “Middle” that was released earlier this year, this new piano-driven gem is a slight deviation from his typical party anthems, amply preparing us for some blissed-out, summertime vibes. DJ Snake builds an attractive tropical framework with light percussion and breezy marimbas, while George Maple’s captivating vocals sit at the forefront.

He has added himself to a roster of artists who have attempted to share their creative vision for this tune, however, this one stands out as pristine. Close your eyes, and happy travels.

50K SoundCloud plays in 1 day, what do you know about that? That’s how Tipsy Records rolls, and their latest release “Ocean” by Kayliox featuring A-SHO is that Summer melodic future house we’ve been waiting for. When tropical house becomes dull, it’s time to go progressive with the genre, and take it to new heights, especially in the dance field, aka make people dance. “Ocean” does just that, and I’m not going to lie, the track just ended on me while I’m typing this, and just when I’m getting into it, I wish it was longer. Kayliox if you hear me, we need an extended mix, this one’s for the DJs! Press play, it’s a must listen!

“DAMN” is right. French producer Kulkid teams up with label mate and producer Honest to remix Y2K & lil aaron’s “DAMN” into an epic house ballad. They took lil aaron’s vocals and chopped them up into a unique pattern and then the song drops into a massive house melody that’s heralded by sharp sounding brass horns. Definitely a fun club remix on the trap sounding original.

No Funks Given are back, and they’ve sampled yet another TV favorite in their new single “Steve Wants Your Body.” This time around, they went for a BBC/Netflix series show that has been gaining steam, Cuckoo. Within this series there is a wild character that is a fan-favorite, Steve Chance. The duo went ahead and sampled some clips of his and tossed them in their wild original that pins breakbeat percussion with electro sounds. The introduction sets up the chorus tremendously, with the listener knowing full well that something special is coming. What comes is Steve, along with a driving bassline that mutates into something new that sounds like it’s straight from a monstrous robot. Check out the single, follow No Funks Given on social media and stay tuned for what these two have next. You never can anticipate what’s coming.

House, Pop | Clean Bandit’s Brand New Single Will Have You In “Tears”
Posted by BIGLIFE on May 30, 2016
Clean Bandit. What can you say about this super-group that hasn’t already been said. They pump out quality tune after quality tune. That’s no easy task, as dropping hit single after hit single takes serious talent. Recruiting X-Factor alumnus Louisa Johnson, Clean Bandit may have another summer smash on their hands with their brand house crossover “Tears” single that I’ve had on repeat all weekend. Uplifting and melodic, Louisa’s vocals float over the sharp Clean Bandit production, creating a perfect dance ready pop smasher that I see be on every radio in the US.
Pick up “Tears” on iTunes immediately. It’s awesome.
