The homie EJ sent over Hyper Crush’s latest single “Illegal” a nice little dancefloor banger for the clubs to get the asses shaking, in anticipation for their album release “Vertigo” October 15. Hpyer Crush make electro-house music though they incorporate elements of pop and hip hop, something different. I almost want to say they incorporate elements of trap in this latest release, a good beat to get ignorant to, do illegal shit, and twerk obviously. Qulinez has been quiet lately, but with “Noise” they break that silence with authority. This is not the Qulinez we saw with “Troll” and following remixes that emulated that style. This is an in your face, heavy electro, dubstep crossover track that does not take any prisoners.

Hardwell has dominated 2013. It would be an upset if he did not win the DJ Mag popularity contest this year with his fanboys coming out in such force supporting him. His track with MAKJ “Countdown” probably should have been released for the North American festival season, since its minimal drops were perfect for the main stages that he seemed to live on, but alas the track that made its debut at UMF is here. Get ready for this to be quite popular this winter as this style of track seems to show no signs of slowing down.

I was not ready for this one. I knew Live City could turn out some heavy stuff, but this is a whole new level. They completely strip the original instrumental, and add their own gritty, powerful electro drop with slower, melodic builds to match the somber vocals. The track has been around and the label is dragging their feet on this one, so Glassnote lets get this going and release this bad boy.

We first brought you the tunes of Erik Arbores back in 2011, when he has just 14 with his first official release, “Take It EP” on Zouk Recordings. Now two years later, an elder statesman at 16 year old, he has matured as a producer and is ready to deliver on the promise he showed with his fist EP. “Get Ready” shows that maturation with a funky, amen break driven bass line, a powerful drop with quick bursts of electro and a well crafted piano-driven melody. We hope to see more tracks like this from the young Dutchman as continues on with his promising career.

TheFatRat returns with a wild new single that blends funky disco and gritty electro into one seamless track. The video adds a very interesting element to the whole track, taking TheFatRat into various elements of pop culture from the “Levels” video, to “Thriller”, to Lion King, to Minecraft, Super Mario and many more. The video shows the talents of the German producer in not only music, but also in video production and editing. He has always been known for being original, and both the production and video reinforce that trend. We look forward to more TheFatRat produced videos in the future.
