Staring outside my window and there’s a lot of snow. With this said NJ producer Gazzo remixed a blues classic “Cocaine” by Eric Clapton, and he fed the original a couple lines of benzoylmethylecgonine aka the white girl, making it more alive! This isn’t your hippy parent’s old school track, this one’s more potent with a drop that doesn’t fuck around. I can only imagine this one getting dropped at a festival, and I have a strong feeling it will, considering Gazzo has been receiving the support of Hardwell, Cash Cash and more with his latest remixes! This is a must listen and a must download!

Deep house has been all the rage lately, so it shouldn’t be too surprising that in between heavy festival bangers like “Revolution”, Nervo decided go von deeper with Marco Lys on “Don’t Break My Heart”. As to be expected with any Nervo tune, it has been remixed plenty and in steps American up and comer, a member of Mike Hawkins powerful Megaton Records family, Landis. Miami DJ / producer Tegan has released his debut three track EP “XII (Thirteen)”. The French born producer has a residency on Radio FG in Mexico and has taken his training as an audio engineer to the producing front with a few remixes and now 3 originals packaged in this EP. The three tunes show the melodic side of electro house, adding tasteful melodies to hard hitting saws and synths. Electro-House | Bass Kleph – Going Crazy

Bass Kleph is known for his crazy live shows with on the spot improvisation and live recreation of tracks in a way that nobody else does. In addition to his prowess as a live performer, his production abilities are quite good as well, seen earlier this summer with “Gum” on Lazy Rich’s Big Fish Recordings. “Going Crazy” provides tough electro chords, contrasted by male vocals and deft piano and synth play for a well-rounded, melodic, yet hard hitting track.

Martin Garrix’s followup to “Animals”, “Wizard” has found a similar stature in the dance world, though fortunately not nearly as remixed, yet. One of those remixes comes from extra potent Sex Panther, who adds a bouncy electro tinge to the track, taking out the typical Garrix elements in favor of Melbourne influenced saws. Just in time for your NYE celebrations, Showtek drop off another massive single, aptly named “We Like To Party”. Like their outrageous stage personality, Showtek’s larger than life productions embody the no holds bar, unbridled raging attitude that comes from listening to Showtek. “We Like To Party” has the power and style you expect from a Showtek production, raising the bar technically and creatively for what big room electro house should be. The first single from their newly launched record label Skink, we can only hope to see stuff like this in the future.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you our troll of the week: Maverix. Following the likes of Daleri with their “Epic Mashleg,” and of course, the troll king, Deadmau5’s indictment of big league dance music with “Drop Da Bomb,” our boy Maverix here took it to a whole new level by charting the Top 10 in Electro House on Beatport, currently reigning at #9. Yeah, he surfaced on one of the biggest genre charts in the market, and I’m pretty sure he’s f***ing with all of us (at least I hope he is).
Let’s take a look at the lyrics: “Everyone is having sex/If you’re not you’re too complex/Everyone is having sex/If you’re not, booty call text.” Normally something like this would leave me relatively unfazed, maybe a giggle at most, but the fact that this track has broken through the the ranks of the Electro House Top 100 and into the Top 10 has left me in awe of this guy’s trolling capabilities: it’s safe to say I’m impressed; and I’m not going to lie – I kind of want to dance to this song. Hats off to you, Maverix – well done.
