Eko Zu have unleashed their next addition to what has been a string of groovy disco vocal singles that have the West Coast filling up personable venues and tracking their latest moves – this one entitled “We Found Love”. Featuring technical vocal verses, the layering of groovy drums and funky guitar and bass is what makes this one hit the sweet spot.
There are several aspects that make this group appealing, some of the best being the art that they surround each release with, the synergy between the band, and the forward thinking mindset they are pushing through there releases that is for a pretty specific niche; all while having a jump–in–and–dance live music feel to it.

“We Found Love” was first recreated by Timeflies for their Under The Influence mixtape. While on the road in Salt Lake City, the boys hit the studio for a few hours to cover their own cover. I would say I was skeptic of the idea of covering ones cover, but knowing Timeflies resume, that would be a blatant lie. Always creative, always reinventing, this shines a whole new light on the song. ‘Phat beat maker’, Rez cooks up a stringy beat without the hard hitting sounds we heard on the original, as Cal once again flexes his pipes and annunciates the lyrics. Don’t let this think you can cover your own cover, because frankly, you probably can’t.

Rihanna and Calvin Harris’ masterpiece We Found Love has taken the charts by storm and currently stands as the number one single in the US. Therefore it comes as no surprise that we have been bombarded by a slew of remixes to this pop/electro crossover track. I have found a few impressive electro remixes, but this dubstep remix from Jakers is definitely something special.
