Re-interpolating one of The Weeknd’s best songs is a surefire way to make a hit if done right and Abstract does just that. In “High For This”, the Bronx emcee turns The Weeknd’s “High For This” and reinvents it into a smooth Hip Hop jam. The video is comprised from footage of a recent performance of his at Webster Hall. I posted Chi Duly’s remix of The Weeknd’s “D.D.” just a short while ago and today he dropped the complete remix project. The album features remixes from Chi Duly spanning from The Weeknd’s three mixtapes and there isn’t a bad one featured on it. Even The Weeknd got up on it and posted it on their Tumblr.

Chi Duly is readying the release of his next big project since his mashup album October’s Very Own combining Drake & Coldplay. The project entitled Balloons of Haus is a remix album composed of various remixes of songs spanning from The Weeknd’s three mixtapes. The latest leak from the project is a remix of The Weeknd’s cover of Michael Jackson’s “Dirty Diana” shortened to just “D.D.”. The track is a banger and perfect for a Saturday night.

The Weeknd is slowly becoming one of my favorite artists today. Along with Frank Ocean, he is the future face of R&B music, or what we at FNT like to call baby making music.
