Progressive House | Jesse Draak & Ryan Fieret
Posted by W8 on July 20, 2012
Residing in the Netherlands are two young emerging producers, Jesse Draak and Ryan Fieret. The youthful duo has a thorough understanding of progressive house with a keen ear for euphoric builds and cheery drops. They recently released a compilation of tracks containing five remixes and two originals, which they are generously giving away for free. After reviewing all the tracks it’s my pleasure to present my three favorites, enjoy.
Electro-House | Afrojack – Can’t Stop Me (The Remixes)
Posted by Sev on June 26, 2012
The amazing remixes to Afrojack’s original featuring Shermanology “Can’t Stop Me” have finally been released. Containing two outstanding remixes from three top notch producers. Tietso taking a stab at his interpretation of the track on one remix and R3hab & Dyro smashing it with their heavy Electro on the other. Tiesto opted to take a more dance feel where he focused on keeping the dance beat present throughout instead of a heavy Electro drop, while R3hab and Dyro dove straight into the chainsaw madness and thumping Electro groove. It is tough to pick a favorite from these two, but if I had to I would have to go with R3hab & Dyro on this one. Grab both of these remixes off of Beatport HERE
Progressive House | AN21 & Max Vangeli vs. Steve Angello – H8RS
Posted by Sev on May 28, 2012
Three outstanding House producers known for their technique and dexterity featured all on one track? Count me in. An21, Max Vangeli, and Steve Angello have produced their rendering of this summers anthem known as, H8RS. Through the introduction we are lured in to believe a “Calling (Lose My Mind)” style track is in the making, but as soon as we reach the drop it becomes evident this is a “Greyhound” style track. All three producers mastered a bass thumping track, that is sure to get any crowd dancing their night away. You can bet this track is going to be played at every festival this summer, so grab this track on Beatport HERE.
Electro-House, Preview | Zedd – Spectrum (feat. Matthew Koma) [PREVIEW]
Posted by Mach on May 22, 2012
Releasing June 6th off of Interscope Records is probably one of the best tracks we have heard from Zedd, which says a lot. The vocals from Matthew Koma really sets the mood of this track. Another one for the favorites list. Zedd is one of the top producers for Electro-House, this might just push him up to that number one spot on the charts again.
Drum & Bass | Netsky — Come Alive EP
Posted by Sev on May 21, 2012
After watching the video for Netsky’s latest single I can only imagine what life would be like living in his shoes. Come Alive has been a Drum and Bass anthem for many artist in the past few months. Adding some new sounds to his arsenal, Netsky has stayed true to his roots by playing the music that made him a staple in DnB. The track starts off nice and smooth with female vocals and your typical Drum & Bass futuristic intro. Swiftly building its way to the drop where Netsky shows his true talents, combining his smashing DnB styled drops with a more drumstep feel. Not many producers can fuze two styles without losing the other and I commend Netsky on doing so. Also on this EP are three other DnB remixes provided by Culture Shock, Rockwell, and Submerse that you can listen to below. Grab Netsky’s single Come Alive along with the remixes on Beatport HERE.

Dubstep | Kill Paris – Shades Of Funk
Posted by Mach on May 11, 2012
After acing my Sociology final today, this track was just another great addition to my day. Kill Paris has really been powering out the releases as of late and I am loving it. He is undoubtedly one of my favorite up and coming producers, everything he releases is top notch. This new original of his is awesome, the funky disco vibes on this really make it what it is. This is something that Pretty Lights would be giving out…if he had been smart enough to create it.
Dubstep | Kill Paris – Keep Your Secrets In Midnight City
Posted by Mach on May 4, 2012
I really enjoy the slight sampling of M83’s ‘Midnight City’ on this track, it works really well with what Kill Paris built around it. Kill Paris is one of my favorite up and coming dubstep producers, he always come through with something you have to have. This melodic dubstep track is awesome, the vocals set an incredible feeling for it.
