Dubstep, Exclusive, Featured | Doctor P & Adam F feat. Method Man – The Pit (Doctor P VIP Mix) [FNT Premiere]

Posted by on October 24, 2013

doctor p & adam f ft method man - the pitEver since the explosion of dubstep / brostep in 2011, its infusion with rap has become much more commonplace with bigger and bigger names taking part. The most notable and successful example would be ASAP Rocky, Skrillex & Birdy Nam Nam “Wild For The Night”, which broke through on radio and into the mainstream, commercial audience. You can now add another notable collab to the list, with Doctor P, Adam F and Method Man all coming together on one track “The Pit”. The VIP relies more on the low end and robotic sounds, rather than the high-pitched piercing effects that Doctor P has made his living using in his productions.

Stream the track exclusively below and watch the video for the track as well. “The Pit” comes out on Monday, the 28th, as part of a 4 track EP for “The Pit” that includes the single, the VIP mix, and remixes from Datsik and Brillz. Preorder it all here.

Events | Electric Adventure Announces Full Lineup, Tickets Still on Sale

Posted by on July 19, 2013

Electric Adventure 2013 Electric Adventure painfully announced the lineup one name at a time, culminating in Seven Lions being the final artist added to a bass heavy roster fit for an American festival. The recently expanded, two-day festival being held at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson New Jersey, boasts names like Dillon Francis, GTA, Seven Lions, Doctor P, Figure, Zeds Dead and a live show from Destroid. You can see the full lineup on the poster above. One of the finer things about the lineup is that it has scheduled breaks in between for you to go enjoy the rides with DJs like DJ Bl3nd taking over the decks. With all of this heavy bass music coming to Six Flags, I can’t wait to see all of the terrified looks on parents faces when they first see all of these kids running around in neon, yolo trucker hats and other obscene apparel that covers almost no skin, and then hear the screeching dubstep come blaring out of the Electric Adventure area. Should be a blast and a clash of cultures. The park will also be open late for people who bought Electric Adventure tickets, so you will have an extra 2 hours, until midnight, to ride roller coasters before slinking on home. Tickets are still on sale so grab them before they are gone.

Moonrise Festival

Baltimore’s bass heavy Starscape Festival has been known for showcasing up and coming talent, mixed with some established names in the bass heavier end of dance music — all at a great price. However, the creators of Starscape decided that after 14 years it needed a makeover to bring it up to speed with the bigger is better festival culture here in America. The festival has expanded from its traditional one day format to 2 days, 12 hours each day at the Sun Park in downtown Baltimore.

This expansion and rebranding has brought new names and sounds to the lineup, from trance to hip hop, to the more traditional sounds of electro and dubstep. Big names like Eric Prydz, Datsik, Pretty Lights, Doctor P, Paul van Dyk, Porter Robinson, Nero, Flux Pavilion, Krewella and more will be gracing the stages in Baltimore that early summer weekend. So get your tickets now and get ready for the beginning of the festival season with an under the radar festival worthy of your consideration. Click past the jump to see the full lineup poster. Progressive House | Doctor P feat. Eva Simons – Bulletproof (Vicetone Remix)

The guys do it again. Ruben & Victor in honor of Ruben’s birthday a few days back have released their remix of Doctor P’s single with Eva Simons “Bulletproof” off of his 4 track EP out in September “Animal Vegetable Mineral Part 1”. Vicetone flips Doctor P’s 140 bpms and at times hard on the hearing synth leads for a crisp 4 on the 4 floor bass line and big room melodies that have made their rise to prominence possible. With yet another outstanding, clean production under their belt, it will be great to see them possibly expand into a larger multi-track release format and see what they have in store for touring in 2013.

Electro-House, Featured, Preview | Roksonix – Music In Me (Doctor P Remix) [PREMIERE]

Posted by on December 14, 2012

Looks like we have quite the treat for everyone today. Circus Records has been kind enough to let us premiere Doctor Ps upcoming remix from the highly anticipated compilation EP, “The Shady Bunch,” featuring legends Funtcase, Cookie Monsta’, Roksonix, Flux Pavilion, and many more. Since the release of Roksonix’s impacting remix of Nero’s “Me & You,” and its feature on X-Factor’s Season 2 promotions, it felt like only a matter of time before some great producer was chosen to remix something of their’s. Could not have asked for a better person for the job.

Doctor P has always surprised me with his new work, especially with the stringed orchestral intro contained in this remix. Shocked and awed, I continued listening through this intriguing track only to find myself dancing to a most memorable electro-house twist of Roksonix and Doctor P’s styles. If I wasn’t extremely excited for the EP’s release already, I most definitely am now. Luckily we will not have to wait much longer for its December 16th release this coming Sunday. Until then, enjoy this first listen of this awesome tune.
