Alternative, Pop | Cchaz Cardigan Releases New Single/Video “We Look So Good”

Posted by on October 2, 2021

Nashville singer-songwriter Chaz Cardigan is back with new music! “We Look So Good” comes with a video and was put together during the Covid-19 lockdown. Chaz channeled the confusion and initial anger he had towards the way the U.S. treats its working class, immigrants and its sick into “We Look So Good”. With its powerful lyrics and anthemic chorus, the track compares patriotism to staying with a toxic partner because “you look so good on paper” when you’re really unhappy. The indie pop anthem is a breathe of fresh air from a topical stand point while also sounding great. Check it out above now!

Mix | Tchami – Diplo & Friends

I like Tchami. I think he’s a force to be reckoned with and a serious breathe of fresh air for the dance community. Many don’t know that’s been producing for a while, and has co-production credits (along with DJ Snake) on “Turn Down For What” and Lady Gaga’s “Do What You Want” record. That’s no joke kids. You don’t produce those records without serious connections and proven production prowess.

I pump Tchami’s tires to say this: I wasn’t a big fan of this mix. My expectations are so high for this guy that it just didn’t live up to what I expected given his previous mixes, which were all gold. His DAD mix? Gold. His Thump mix? 24 Karat. Social Club in Paris? Cash for Gold. It doesn’t matter what I think. I’ll let our readers decide. Did this mix do it for you?

Be sure to catch Tchami on his European tour fall run. Details here.

Sometimes, when tracks release on the internet, they’re not instantly received. Six months ago Writers’s Block release “Don’t Look Any Further” to the internet via Ultra Records with little to no fanfare. It took The Magician’s new “Magic Tape 46” to breathe new life into the track. I’m glad I found it. This is a massive tune and you need it immediately. Be sure to catch the video below!
