Trap | Zedd ft. Haley Williams – stay the night (aylen remix)

Posted by on October 23, 2013

Aylen’s spin on the popular Zedd song “Stay the Night” featuring Haley Williams has a dark, cool vibe to it. It’s definitely trap, but it has some elements you don’t typically hear in a party type trap song. It’s got some eerily warped vocals and minimal beats. My favorite part is the last drop about four minutes in because of the added synths.  This track is free to download on Facebook!

Sean Lives On 2013

Sean Lives On was founded by Zach Kardisch in 2012 in memory of his late friend, Sean Riley.  Sean passed away in high-school from a rare form of cancer, but while being treated by the excellent staff, was forever grateful to Winthrop Children’s Hospital.  Because of that, donating to Winthrop was a no-brainer for Zach. The inaugural event, held in 2012, was able to raise over $10,000.  During the year, he was able to partner up with Limitless Entertainment, and this year plans on raising $20,000 to donate.

Headlining this great event is recent Lehigh University graduate, Kap-Slap, with support from Aylen and Nammo, who is a cancer survivor himself. Sean Lives On is a non-profit event, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Winthrop Children’s Hospital.  The event is taking place at Warehouse5, in Island Park, Long Island, NY. The event is 16+, and will be held on Thursday, May 23rd.

Trap | Deorro & Duvoh – Black (Aylen Remix)

Posted by on February 7, 2013

Middy posting trap? Well regardless of your thoughts on whether or not it is a gimmick or not, trap is here to stay and you better get with it. Trap songs that just take a track and add a few samples from run of the mill sample trap run kit in 10 minutes deserve little attention, however those that actually mold the trap instrumentals into the track and work with the sounds of the original track like what Aylen has done move forward the experiment of what is going on with the current direction of trap (I know it is not new). Aylen combines the grungy electro low end from the original with blistering high hats and snares, molding the trapped instrumentals into the framework of the original.

Chill, Dubstep | Coldplay – Fix You (Aylen Remix)

Posted by on December 19, 2012

Super chill dubstep mix that never really “drops,” but more of a progressive flow. Wait until about 3 minutes when the song switches direction. This is not something that you break chairs, jump into a moshpit or go flip cars to, but more of a I’ve been on the highway for 2 hours and am going to crash my car into the barrier if I hear one more Kesha song. Oh, sorry, my b its actually Ke$ha. So sorry…

Dubstep | Zedd Ft. Foxes – Clarity (Aylen Remix)

It has to be the bewitching Alyen has done that has led me to have this remix on repeat. The way he balanced out the vocals and melodic Dubstep just hits that sweet spot in your ears. Honestly, I wasn’t crazy about the original from Zedd, but I’m glad that Aylen showed that Foxes’ beautiful vocals are not lost.

Moombahton | D!RTY AUD!O x Aylen feat. Jitta On The Track – Different Cities (Original Mix)

Posted by on June 29, 2012

Two of my favorite upcoming Moombahton artist have collaborated on what seems to be this summers Moombah anthem for me. Also featuring an upcoming vocalist/artist as well, named Jitta On The Track, who just finished opening on tour for Waka Flocka and Drake. This track has it all for me; appealing vocals, heavy bass, good melody, and a unique drop. The track starts off with a nice popping synth and melody that slowly progresses into some dope lyrics by Jitta, which sets it all up for the bass filled drop. Show these guys some support and like their pages below.
