House | Jessie Andrews – In Motion (EP)

Many moons ago, we had the opportunity to catch a Jessie Andrews set at SISU in Dallas at the urging of our friend and summer time authority Viceroy. We were pleasantly surprised. We even went for ice cream after but that’s for another time. This new “In Motion” effort from Jessie is solid body of work. Engineered by OWSLA’s Nick Thayer and recorded in North Melbourne, “In Motion” is simple but manages to cut through the clutter with groovy beats and feel good vibes proving sometimes simple is best. Jessie Andrews’s “In Motion” is avaiable on Beatport via ZIVS November 15th. Pick that up.

Exclusive, Featured, Progressive House | FNT Premiere: Tom Piper – You Don’t Know (Karboncopy Remix)

Posted by on October 10, 2014

karboncopy

If we’re talking about two guys from Australia, Karboncopy is probably the duo who has provided me with the most pleasurable experience in the past 48 hours from a male. They have released some really good music in the past, but this one is my favorite and has been on repeat since I first heard it two days, or 48 hours ago. An official remix of Tom Piper’s “You Don’t Know” is what they were tasked with and it came out spectacularly. An understated piano carries the excellent vocals to the build where the anthemic melody takes over and climaxes powerfully at the drop. This remix is as good or better than the original, which is also below, and probably Karboncopy’s best to date. The stream can be found exclusively below and the song can be found on Beatport next Monday, October 13th.

Exclusive, Progressive House | FNT Premiere: Rob & Jack – Shadows (Karboncopy Remix)

ROB & JACK – SHADOWS (KARBONCOPY REMIX)

Karboncopy, connoisseurs of erotic styled literature and progressive house music are debuting their forthcoming remix of Rob & Jack’s “Shadows” right here on FNT. The track shares some similarities with their previous remix for Laidback Luke and Project 46’s “Collide”, as well as the hit summertime smash of autumn 2011, “Without You” by David Guetta, in the sense that they are all pretty good. A strong piano leads the song out of the break and into the build, where the rolling melody takes over and then climaxes, powerfully, at the drop. Karboncopy are tremendously skilled and in time are sure to be among the top progressive house artists coming out of Australia. The remix is out a week from today, July 21st. Until then, enjoy the stream exclusively below.

Electronic, Trap | Alison Wonderland – I Want U (GANZ Flip)

Posted by on July 11, 2014

Every since Australian producer Alison Wonderland leaked the preview for the GANZ remix of her single “I Want You,” fans have been holding their breaths and WOW, was it worth the wait. The Dutch producer frankly has yet to disappoint with a remix, considering his flips of “Tell Me,” “Hyperparadise,” and AlunaGeorge’s “Superstar,” just to name a few, have all been nothing less than extraordinary. Here, GANZ preserves Wonderland’s vocals and switches up the drop to something even bigger than you could ever imagine. Cop the free download and turn this up.

Chill, Electronic | cln – Better Than

After teasing us with a handful of remixes, Aussie producer cln finally treats us to the first *free* single off his upcoming EP. “Better Than” is perfectly chill for whatever mood you’re in today, be it up or down. For best results, put your headphones on loud and this track on loop and get lost.

Electronic, Trap | Alison Wonderland – I Want U (Prod. by Djemba Djemba)

Posted by on May 7, 2014

A little late on this one but in case you missed it last week, Aussie vixen Alison Wonderland dropped her latest track titled “I Want U,” produced by none other than Djemba Djemba. This track exhibits Alison’s sultry sound perfectly paired with DD’s basstastic flair. The visual pairing is, might I say considerably dark, and may throw you off at first but will eventually make you want to strobe the lights and behave erratically in your bedroom as well. Turn it up.

Electronic | Hermitude – Ukiyo

Posted by on April 17, 2014

The legendary Australian electronic-meets-hip-hop duo Hermitude dropped this brand new track titled “Ukiyo” yesterday in anticipation of their upcoming next album release. It’s honestly just a really nice, different, refreshing sort of sound, the kind that you want to hear all day long because it keeps your blood pumping and your spirits high. I’m getting excited just thinking about an entire album featuring this sort of style. While you might recognize these guys from that infamous Flume remix, which I have to admit is in fact one of my favorite tracks of all time, do take the time to check these guys out as artists, it’ll be worth your time.
