2013 XXL Freshman + Hip Hop Round Up

XXL just came out with the nominees for this years Freshman 10. With so many big names and probably the best class to date, it’s pretty much impossible to find a 10 that you won’t be happy with. Clink the link below to head on over to XXL and vote for your favorite freshman.

Now that that’s out of the way, I wanted to drop off a couple tracks that I haven’t been able to post and make it into a Hip Hop Round Up. Click the jump below to listen and download the tracks. Trust me, you probably don’t want to miss these.

1. Chief Keef – Shine

Before you write this song off because it’s by Chief Keef, actually listen to it. This is no normal Chief Keef song, it has a catchy upbeat synth with a toned down bass line. This was supposed to be on Finally Rich but Sosa decided to save this one.

2. Young Scooter – I Can’t Wait (Ft. Trinidad Jame$)

Young Scooter has been making a lot of noise coming out of ATL. This time he joins up with Mr. All Gold Everything and fellow ATL native, Trinidad Jame$ for this trap banger. If this tickles your fancy, then rejoice cause Scooter’s mixtape is set release soon.

3. Joey Bada$$ – Unorthodox (Prod. DJ Premier)

Joey Bada$$ X Premo?! Only makes me a bigger believer in the kid. He’s gonna be big, real big.

4. IAMSU! – Nothing Much

I was recently introduced to IAMSU! not too long ago and have following him very closely lately. He released this nice trap sounding track Nothing Much the other day. No download but look for more of IAMSU! soon.
