Electronic, Hip-Hop | New Act Xia Xia Technique Drop Surprise Music Video For “Let Me Show U (How 2 Cut)”

Not much is known about this group, but Xia Xia Technique is making moves – boldly dropping a music video alongside one of their newest tracks “Let Me Show U (How 2 Cut)”, one of only two singles XXT has revealed.
“Let Me Show U (How 2 Cut)” features Psycho Flower as the MC and her guest Sakura, (though it is a 3 member group) as thet pay homage to the 90’s style acid-stained music videos. The animation found within are certainly a trip. The overall sound of “Let Me Show U (How 2 Cut)” is drastically different, which I like, the single has a modern hip-hop voice atop, but the beat is just out there, I suppose experimental electronica would be the best way to describe it, with a dash of live drums in there too.
The vibe is chill, but the voice is empowering, and drop is trippy – an overall dope fusion of experimental sides of the dance music spectrum.

Mosimann is one of France’s biggest dance music producers, having been featured on a variety of national TV spots around the country (and Europe) as well as being one hell of a showman (Mosimann has also created a custom DJing tabletop that allows his fans to see him DJ during his live sets). His previous release “The Gifted One” was a dope present from the solo producer in 2016. He’s now expand the themes of this original more so with fresh remixes from the likes of Florian Kempers, Sebastian Wibe, Zetyd, and his own person edit of the tune.
It was “The Gifted One (Sebastian Wibe Remix)” that captured my attention today, the single is as if Sum 41 and an electronic pop song had a baby – a startling unique balance of raw boldness and power alongside glistening flowing electronic vocals, the platform for this being provided by Mosimann’s original production and the voice of Uhre. “The Gifted One (Sebastian Wibe Remix)” is not to be missed.

Sun City gives us a brand new summery treat called ‘Castaway’, which features the voice of Yeo. Sun City mention that this is just the first taste of their forthcoming ‘Daytona EP’, and if this track is any indication, it’s going to be a great one. From the producers themselves, “This track is about relinquishing the idea of control and leaving everything up to fate, or the universe.” ‘Castaway’ is a chilled but upbeat track with warm vibes with well executed sound design and percussion. Australian house project known as LJ Hawk just dropped a new track called “High”, an infectious new housey tune that features the voice of a Sydney-based soul/R&B/jazz singer known as Ash. Ash’s spirited vocals, combined with the beautiful synth work and a catchy melody creates an uplifting, euphoric track that is a must listen. Here’s what LJ Hawk had to say about it: “I had been tinkering with a lot of sounds and song’s in the studio, doing my best to explore each of the elements in the hopes of learning more about what I love listening to in other people’s music, and then working it into my own. When I first heard Ash’s voice on some demo’s, I knew her style & sound would align really well with some of the deeper house track’s I had been working on.” They got together in the studio and created this masterpiece, set to be released on Sunstroke Records on September 2nd. Um, I heard this and I was hooked! I randomly stumbled on this tune, and I couldn’t stop listening. This NYC duo has got my hooked, and I hope there is more to come. I would love to learn more, but for now make sure you give them a follow and keep up with their tunes over here: Slow Sugar. I still can’t get over how infectious the voice is, so pumped I found this tune!

After ending her run on The Voice in the show’s third season, semi-finalist and now 19-year-old singer/songwriter Melanie Martinez said that her primary objective was to express who she was and touch people’s hearts. Just a year later, she’s set to reach many more; her Dollhouse EP from earlier this year was critically-acclaimed, its lead single garnered over eight million views, and now her second single, “Carousel”, has both been listed as one of Spotify’s most viral tracks and was recently featured in the promos for American Horror Story: Freak Show.
