House, Mix | Pierce Fulton – Get Weird Episode 12

Posted by on July 11, 2013

Pierce Fulton - Get Weird Ep 12FNT favorite and Brooklynite, Pierce Fulton has neglected his duties to get weird lately, though I did run into him in the crowd at that free Zedd show in June. Open bar = getting weird, so you get a pass Pierce. This episode contains some the latest from his buddies like Charlie Darker, Norin & Rad and Botnek, with some exclusive new bootlegs from Pierce and the Flume remix of Disclosure’s “You & Me”. Tracklist after the jump.

Progressive House | Atlas Genius – Symptoms (Pierce Fulton Remix)

Atlas Genius - Symptoms (Pierce Fulton Remix)I haven’t heard too many people remix Atlas Genius, so this remix got me excited to see how the vocals were used. This is now my new favorite song from Pierce Fulton. I love how the buildup progresses, the instrumentals paired with vocals instantaneously make you feel good. Once you hit the drop all those good feelings come together into one blissful, energy filled state.

Electro-House | Dada Life – Boing Clash Boom (Remixes)

Posted by on June 5, 2013

Dada Life – Boing Clash Boom (Remixes)Dada Life‘s album “The Rules Of Dada” has already seen remixes from the likes of Tiesto and Dillon Francis, and now can add the Bingo Players, Major Lazer and Pierce Fulton to the list. While the two bigger names are somewhat expected and add their own unique character to the track, Pierce Fulton should be no surprise, since he recently was a performer at the Dada Life compound in San Francisco a few weeks ago. It is cool to see Pierce getting picked up for such high profile remixes, he deserves it.

The remixes are all quite different and each brings something unique from each other and from the original. Major Lazer go for a slower trapped out stylistic change, while Pierce adds his own chunky bass line in place of the traditional Dada Life electro drop, and the Bingo Players add a jarring acid fueled drop that takes a little while to get used to, but really works in the context of the song. If you are in NYC this weekend, Pierce is turning 21 on Saturday, so come to Lavo and get weird with him as Pierce has his first drink ever and potentially shotguns a beer with you after the show. Get tickets here.

Progressive House | Pierce Fulton & Maor Levi – Wanna Be

Posted by on April 12, 2013

Pierce Fulton & Maor Levi - Wanna BeMark Brown’s Cr2 Records has been a friendly home for many of Pierce Fulton‘s releases throughout his young, and burgeoning career. This collaboration with Israeli producer and Anjunabeats regular, Maor Levi, is the first original release for Pierce since his two track “Mr Mime / Sink Or Swim” EP, while Maor Levi takes a break from his impressive gauntlet of remixes to release his first original of the year. “Wanna Be” combines the best of both producer’s worlds, delving into Maor Levi’s trance roots and combining them with the eclectic sensibilities of Pierce Fulton with atmospheric breaks, cheery, pitched female vocals and a smooth top line. The club mix takes an edgier approach, making it more suitable for live sets.

A collab between two genre melding producers, New York resident Pierce Fulton and Israeli producer Maor Levi create their new single “Wanna Be” out April 12th on Cr2 Records. The track leans on a euphoric, trancey synth line with pitched female vocals and atmospheric breaks that give the original mix all the makings of the next hit for these two. The club mix takes an edgier approach with a gruff low end added, making it more useful for certain live stages. Coming April 12th, this one is not to be missed.

Australian youngster, Walden in the midst of his first WMC, unveils the remix package for his recent single “Intropial” on Big Beat Records. The first remix comes from Pierce Fulton, who strips back some of the big room tendencies of the original and focuses on the groove with a strong bass line and his own simple, yet effective melody that is perfect for the Miami sun he is currently soaking up. Special Features adds his fast paced bright synths to the track that do not stray too much from the original, but still remind us that the young British producer has yet again added another solid remix to his growing discography. Ghost provides a heavy dubstep take on the track, while Dutch duo TV Noise add gritty electro to it.
