Electro-House | Tiësto & Showtek – Hell Yeah!

Posted by on June 4, 2012

Tiesto does it again. The legend can simply do no wrong from Trance, Progressive House, Electro House, DNB and now hardstyle, Tiesto is proving once again that is he one of the best producers ever. Showtek, the dutch hardstyle duo teamed up with Tiesto to create this hardstyle fashioned track that will appeal more to the mainstream with an original base of a hardstyle track, with a high powered break of driving synth chords, a powerful bass line and some cowbell, beckoning you to get this party started. Tiesto’s contribution is really seen in the interlude of big room synths with well timed stutters and a driving base that leads into an second break even bigger than the first. Showtek fans may be angry that they “sold out and went mainstream”, but just listen to this track and you will see how great this one is.

Preview, Progressive House | Ken Loi feat. Zashanell – All It Takes

Posted by on June 3, 2012

Australian born, San Francisco raised Dj and bootleg master, Ken Loi has been on our radar for a long time as he has grown as a producer. He has been making tracks that have been very good, but have lacked that je ne sais pas quoi to make them great, but with “All It Takes” and his upcoming remix of “Angels” he may have turned the corner and grown into the potential he has always shown to have. Zashanell provides vocals that fit very well with the incredible hands in the air melody orchestrated by Ken Loi with a varying bass line and a piano melody driving the build. Ken Loi has been championed by Tiesto and this track has been supported by the legend himself with others like Kaskade, Bingo Players and Adrian Lux. Below is a preview of his aforementioned remix of Adrian Lux – Angels, which adds a little extra to the melody with a little extra bite.

Compilation, Electro-House | Dada Life’s Musical Freedom

Posted by on March 25, 2012

Musical Freedom released their WMC compilation mixed by Dada Life a few days ago, providing over an hour of electro house mayhem, new and old. Dada Life does an impeccable job mixing this compilation. As I listened I could barely tell the songs changed with flawless transitions from one song to the next. The 70 minutes fly by. There is only one brand new song on the compilation, the above Cazzette remix of Dada Life – Rolling Stone T-Shirt, which is a monster of a track not only in its content but also because Cazzette rarely releases any tracks. The rest of the compilation contains some massive electro house tunes from the likes of Dada Life, Tiesto, Felguk, Nicky Romero, Tommy Trash and many more. It shows the quality of the releases of Musical Freedom of the last year and includes such underrated tracks such as Nom De Strip, Sue Cho & Tjr – My Life and Tonite Only – Haters (Nicky Romero Out Of Space Remix). Dada Life pulls from other labels as well taking in songs such as Dyro’s “Daftastic”, Marco V’s recent release “Analogital” and more. Overall the compilation is not one you want to miss, if nothing else to get your hands on Cazzette’s remix of “Rolling Stone T-Shirt”.

Posted by on March 14, 2012

It is EDM compilation season with WMC coming up and Musical Freedom is getting ready to release their Miami compilation mixed by Dada Life on March 20th. With tracks from Dada Life, Afrojack, Tiesto, Nicky Romero, Tommy Trash and the exclusive Cazzette remix of Dada Life – Rolling Stone T-shirt (in the video), this will be a must have compilation. Dada Life have released the vocal mix for their massive track “Kick Out The Epic MotherF**ker”. The original track has been played by the best Djs all over the world becoming a massive track for these two Swedish stars. The vocal adds a nice touch in the second build to give the song a little more character and substance, without changing the formula that has made this song so great. After the jump check out the March Mix from Dada Life.

Electro-House, Progressive House | Avesta – Arena

Posted by on March 6, 2012

Swiss Dj, Farshid Abdi or Avesta, a recent signing to Tiesto’s label Musical Freedom has come out with this massive track supported by the likes of Nicky Romero, David Guetta, Hardwell, Tiesto, Erick Morillo, Sander van Doorn and more. The song opens with a great piano lead accompanied by a slowly building, rumbling synth underneath that crescendos into a massive drop with driving, pitched synths, heavy growling synths and pounding bass. Listen to the full song above and then get it on Beatport below. I also included after the jump a remix of Wolfgang Gartner’s massive single “There And Back” that Wolfgang has supported.

Electro-House, Progressive House | Steve Forte Rio & Lindsey Ray – Slumber (Tommy Trash Remix)

Posted by on November 21, 2011

Continuing the trend of huge releases today, as previewed by W8, Tiesto’s label Musical Freedom presents this massive Tommy Trash remix of the classic “Slumber”. It is not as heavy as we are used to hearing from the fast rising Aussie DJ, but it still packs a powerful punch with a bass and synth driven break and shows he can vary his sound. The vocals from Lindsey Ray are a perfect compliment to the instrumental. Get this on Beatport HERE.

DJ-Set, Preview | Hardwell live at Sensation Innerspace – Denmark

Posted by on November 2, 2011

This song is just too good. Hardwell has to be put in the very upper echelon of EDM. This set from Hardwell at the most recent sensation over Halloweekend is just amazing. He played 9 unreleased songs, 3 of them being his own upcoming singles or collaborations. Hardwell destroys this set and I could not imagine a better end to sensation than this. Tracklist after the jump.
