Posted by on June 10, 2021

Making a massive debut on deadmau5’s hau5trap imprint, Golf Clap shines in his brand new “Lose It.” Out now worldwide, the four-on-the-floor fire is chock-full of larger than life snares and booming synths. Constantly reinventing the wheel, Golf Clap melds timeless house beats with nuanced basslines to create an effortless track best suited for moving and grooving into the early hours of the morning.

“The idea behind ‘Lose It’ was to create something simple yet effective and hopefully make it timeless in the process. Most music these days seems overly complicated and I wanted to really drive the point with a super solid baseline and kind of let that speak for itself.”Golf Clap

Fresh off of his stellar remix of Oh Wonder’s “Lose It,” Jerry Folk is back with his second original, “Futura,” a nu-disco masterpiece that showcases the Norwegian producer’s various influences. It’s rare to find a producer who can float between genres as effortlessly as Jerry Folk, as his signature nu-disco style often blends with other influences like house and indie. Old-school, 70’s-inspired synths wash over the production in “Futura,” while a plucking bass guitar and driving piano melody gives the track a deep groove fitting for a 4 am warehouse rave. You can peep “Futura” above!

Ever since his remix of “Jealous” by Chromeo, the up-and-coming Norwegian producer, Jerry Folk, has been on my list of artists to watch, and today, he’s unveiled his latest effort, a stunning nu disco remix of UK indie dance duo, Oh Wonder, and their track, “Lose It.” While Jerry Folk’s techy remix of “Talk” by Atlas Bound was a slight departure from his typical stylings, the talented musician returns to his roots with this one, as he masterfully blends a groovy house backbone with his signature nu-disco sound that only further elevate the captivating vocals of Oh Wonder. You can stream the entire remix above, and lucky for us, it’s up as a free download!
