Not going to lie, I discovered the original “Free” by Emeli Sande about a week ago as I took the time to check out Rudimental’s album, and this is one of the hottest records of the year. To say this much, I’m glad Cash Cash and Gazzo hopped on this for a remix. Released by Big Beat just a few minutes ago, this remix does the original justice. This is definitely a must listen, and if you’ve never heard the original, do yourself a favor and go look it up!

As you may recall from my previous post about FLXXDS, the group is made up of Gazzo, Crywolf, and half of PRFFTT & Svyable. This all star cast just released another fantastic track. I hope they stick with this collaboration! The vocals are at a unique pitch, and the beats are trap-like and mellow. The little touches of guitar in there are pretty cool too. This one’s free!

FLXXDS is a three part project made up of Gazzo, Crywolf, and half of PRFFTT & Svyable. Their cover of “Two Coins” gives the beautiful original track by City and Colour a new electronic twist. It’s fresh and clean while the melancholy vibe of the original track is still kept in tact. I’m excited to hear more from this new group! This one’s free so check it out!

Gazzo is preparing for his next EP release through the Disco Fries up and coming label, Liftoff Recordings, and to get the fans ready he gave out a b-side track to last us the wait. Gazzo comes through with another exceptional feel-good song, perfect for playing loud on this Sunday afternoon. Jared Wohl’s vocals add a strong emotion to this track, keeping it true to it’s name. Gazzo’s “The Cage EP” drops in just a few weeks, no specific date yet.

Gazzo is back again with another bumping club jam. This is a great track to remix, I am surprised not many other producers have dipped into the great potential these vocals have. Gazzo packed this remix up with nothing but Summer vibes, a sick track kick off a rager this season.

This has to be one of Gazzo’s best tracks. He has been on a crazy roll over the past year, still with no signs of taking a breath. After catching a glimpse of Target’s Spring line commercial, Gazzo knew instantly he wanted to take on Gentlemen Hall’s “Sail Into The Sun.” A great original indeed but Gazzo evolved this chill tune into a dope House anthem. Festival season is an electronic music lovers favorite time of year and there is no better way to stay in the spirit than to blast this dance floor killer.

Dubstep, Electro, House | The Two Friends – You (Me) EP & Remixes

The Two Friends’ EP, “You (Me) EP” has been out for a little less than a month now. Since its release, the EP has charted in Beatport’s Progressive House section at #4. Today they have dropped their hefty remix EP containing remixes from a long list of great up and coming producers, providing a large array of styles tried out on the originals. Seeing how their are so many remixes to pick from, I have to narrow down my top 5 not including the originals. Moiez created a beautiful House remix, I love how the vocal were used and the melody is mesmerizing. The Slap The Bag & Mapp remix uses a lot of classic House synths, once the drop comes in the track is a journey of wonderful sounds.
PrototypeRaptor’s remix might be my favorite of all the remixes. I love the funky Electro vibes that he has going throughout this track, it was something I was just not prepared to hear. Of course Gazzo had to create an equally incredible remix. He always places the vocals perfectly over the instrumentals he creates, it’s like Gazzo has a sixth or maybe even a seventh sense. His remix is perfect raging material. Picking a fifth track is not easy, every remix on this EP is good. It came down to the roll of a die, literally, I had to take it out of my Monopoly game. The winner is Clark Kent’s crazy Dubstep remix. Ever since his remix of “Skyfall,” I have been sold on his skills as a producer. My top 5 in no way reflects how great this remix EP actually is. I highly recommend giving each remix a listen, they will not disappoint.
