Chill | Fall in love with Laxcity & EMIA’s new single “Just Try”

Posted by on March 12, 2019

Laxcity is one of my favorite rising producers right now. His album Catharsis blew me away and this year he’s dropped stunning remixes of Alina Baraz, San Holo, Ekali, and Medasin. Now his first original of 2019 sees him team up with EMIA for a gorgeous love balled. “Just Try” features soft synths, EMIA’s angelic pop voice, and creative production. I added this straight into my pop playlist and so should you. Check it out above and pick up your copy here via ALT:Vision Records.

Remix | Justice Skolnik reworks Justice’s classic “D.A.N.C.E”

Posted by on February 23, 2019

Remixing classic dance hits is a challenging task. You have to balance a line of staying true to the original while also making it your own. Justice Skolnik has done just that with his take on “D.A.N.C.E.” by Justice. Keeping the original playful vocal, just adds some sparkle and light with the first drop. Make sure you stick around for the second because he absolutely goes off. I can see this one getting played out at festivals all Summer long.

Electronic | PhilZen Drops Future Bass Hybrid “Need You”

Posted by on September 17, 2017

Icon collective artists PhilZen has dropped “Need You,” his next single in a string of releases in the last six months. The tweaks and accents PhilZen added onto future bass puts the genre is bolder, harder hitting arena. The heaviness feel mixed with future bass is the highlight with this one, paired with vocal samples that pop in-and-out at just the right time. PhilZen shows no rate of slowing down in 2017.

The Cali-based artist is keeping himself plenty busy this year, word on the street is, even more, is in the works.

Future Trap | Folded Dragons Drops Future Bass Remix Of Alaina Cross’s “Six Ft”

Posted by on September 15, 2017

This remix not only is Folded Dragons very first release, but creates a hybrid experience through the use of bass genres that make the ears perk up. Folded Dragons is Albert Pan, based in New York City. The vibe that Pan taps into is down the earth and easy to see eye to eye with. An animated, created-by-paper fantasy world where Dragons live, the electronic music acting as the theme music of the imagery world to play out in the mind. At least that’s what I took away. Folded Dragons is on a cool path right now, interested to see how the rest of the year plays out.

Well folks…Crankdat is at it again with another monster of a track. If you’ve been keeping tabs on the 19-year-old, he’s been dropping a brand new “re-crank” every other week. Lately, he’s been remixing some iconic throwbacks like Swedish House Mafia’s “Save The World” and Porter Robinson’s “Unison“. His latest release is a hybrid rework of DJ Fresh’s single “Louder”. The first drop thrives on high-pitch dubstep stabs while the second drop immerses itself in a more lush, melodic sequence. Enjoy!
