Progressive House | Fedde Le Grand – RAW

Posted by on December 24, 2012

Fedde Le Grand never disappoints with incredibly varied and unique productions and coming off of the heals of a wide array of collaborations with Nicky Romero & Deniz Koyu among others, the Dutch Star presents his follow up solo effort to “So Much Love” just in time for Christmas. “RAW” keeps with the same style of chugging bass lines that we are accustomed to seeing in most other Fedde Le Grand originals, while adding a fast moving Daft Punkesque top line and gruff undertones, making this a perfect club track to finish out the year.

Albums, Contests, Featured, Review | Sensation Innerspace New York 2012 Mixed by Fedde Le Grand

Posted by on November 8, 2012

Fedde Le Grand fresh off of his performance at the first Sensation on US soil (there will be more), has put together the mix compilation for the event to help you relive those timeless memories of the best all night concert in the world. It is a two part mix CD that takes you on a journey of sound and style, much like the journey you experience at Sensation. The first CD leans more to the electro / progressive realm, utilizing lesser known tracks to keep the idea that the experience of the Sensation comes first and the DJ is secondary, including several from Fedde himself, Chris Lake & Lazy Rich “Stand Alone”, “Toxic Rush”, “Tombo” and others. The second CD gives the official ID&T package with a more clubby, techy sound that you would have heard at the night itself. Seemless transitions from one track to the next makes the 75 minutes on each CD fly by very quickly. After the jump are the tracklists and the sets from the both nights with their respective tracklists.

We are giving away two physical copies of the CD that cannot be bought in the US, so this is an opportunity that you do not want to pass up on. This is only open to residents of the United States unfortunately, but if you live here, you will want to get this CD you can’t are not able to purchase.

DJ-Set, Progressive House | Fedde Le Grand & Nicky Romero feat. Matthew Koma – Sparks (Vicetone Remix)

Posted by on September 16, 2012

While I think there was inherently unique and outstanding about the original, the Vicetone treatment on “Sparks” does not water down the prowess of the original work from Fedde Le Grand & Nicky Romero. Vicetone effectively eliminates Fedde Le Grand’s techy influence from the original and adds their own progressive spin on the track giving it more of a big room feel, endowing the track with a new melody. The remix has been supported by Nicky Romero and was played last night on Protocol Radio, which features Zedd trolling on the phone. Tracklist after the jump.

Progressive House | Digitalism – Zdarlight (Fedde Le Grand & Deniz Koyu Remix)

Posted by on September 10, 2012

Deniz Koyu and Fedde Le Grand joined forces on a pounding, high energy remix of Digitalism’s 2005 mainstay “Zdarlight,” out today on Toolroom Records. They maintain the recognizable theme from the original but layer in some driving kicks and big synths that boost the intensity and make this an arena-ready crowd pleaser. I feel like both producers left an obvious mark on this track — it maintains the punchy, percussive Dutch vibe that Fedde Le Grand is known for while still delivering plenty of catchy progressive red meat. While I still favor the original, there’s no doubt that this has serious potential to do damage on the dance floor. Head over to Beatport for the download.

Progressive House | Fedde le Grand & Nicky Romero ft. Matthew Koma – Sparks (Turn Off Your Mind)

Posted by on August 27, 2012

Finally after a 3 week delay we have the vocal version of “Sparks”, the massive anthemic single from Fedde le Grand & Nicky Romero with rising vocal asset, Matthew Koma bringing everything together. When I first heard the preview above and then the instrumental, the song just sounded odd without the vocals. It just did not seem not seem right without the vocals regardless of the small changes in the mix between the two. Matthew Koma brings this summer anthem to its full potential and it is something you must have, period.

Bootleg | Fedde Le Grand, Matthew Koma, Zedd – AutoSpectrum (Brian Kramer Bootleg)

Posted by on August 12, 2012

Well, looks like Denvers very own, Brian Kramer, is back at it again with another bootleg. After sending over his first two tracks (which you can find here) I found myself addicted to the simplicity and perfection of these bootlegs Brian Kramer constructed. In an age where mashups and bootlegs are frowned upon, Brian Kramer has ditched the norm of the genre: find a fast paced house banger, throw Katy Perry & Lil Wayne vocals over it, and call it a day. He instead blends a few different samples to create something unique & ornate; something more…somehow all whilst using less (I just used the word whilst). Download it people.

Progressive House | Fedde Le Grand & Nicky Romero – Sparks

No two ways about it: today is a huge day for releases. In addition to Afrojack’s “Rock the House”, Fedde Le Grand & Nicky Romero’s epic collaboration with Matthew Koma is now officially out on Beatport. Middy has already suggested that “Sparks” will prove to be one of 2012’s anthems, and I can’t say that I disagree; with adrenaline-baiting builds and an aggressively high energy synth hook, this banger has all the necessary ingredients to become one of the defining songs of the summer. Though the vocal mix with Matthew Koma will not be available until August 6th, the instrumental mix shows just how powerful a track this is.

What are your picks for summer anthem so far? Let us know in the comments or the chat box.
