News | Hardwell Joins Armin Van Buuren As First DJs To Receive Action Figure Ahead of His Record-Breaking Mumbai Show

You know dance music has come a long way when some of the genre’s top artists are immortalized alongside some of music’s most legendary artists, like Elvis Presley, KISS, The Beatles, and Michael Jackson. Hardwell and Armin van Buuren are two of the biggest dance artists in the world, but they’re parlaying their success into mainstream appeal with their own personalized action figures. The “Off the Hook” collaborators become the first DJs to receive their own action figures, which you can get here. In addition, Hardwell is gearing up for the biggest show of his career in Mumbai on December 19th, when he will be playing a free show to 100,000 lucky fans who were able to register for a spot on the Dutch titan’s personal guest list. The 100,000 mark would be a new Guinness World Record for world’s biggest guest list – another accomplishment for the Revealed Recordings don – as he is celebrating the launch of his United We Are Foundation, which is looking to educate India’s impoverished youth. Hardwell’s career can briefly be described as a whirlwind of success, but his new documentary I Am Hardwell – Living the Dream gives us a detailed look into the life of one of the biggest DJs in the world. Following Hardwell through his solo tour, as he visits 34 cities around the world, the documentary masterfully captures the true energy of a Hardwell show. The film’s trailer was premiered at Amsterdam Dance Event, followed by screenings in his home country of the Netherlands. Directed by Robert Piree, the same director of the 2013 documentary I Am Hardwell, the film takes a look at the Dutch producer’s start in DJing through his continued international success and ever-evolving artistic and musical visions.

It’s not often that two of dance music’s biggest and best artists come together for a song, but when they do, it is sure to be massive. While a collaboration between Hardwell and Armin Van Buuren might have broken the Internet last year, the two dance music titans have finally put their heads together to deliver their latest main stage monster, “Off The Hook.” First played by Hardwell at Ultra Music Festival, “Off The Hook” combines the best of both producers, as the Revealed Recordings boss lays down a gritty, electro bass line, while Armin infuses the track with his trademark, up-tempo trance. The energy in this track is contagious. ProbCause’s flow over this brass-laden beat will have you clicking repeat over and over. The inspiration for the track comes from the people in his life who are “cool chasers.” Those people who only hit you up when your buzzing or when they want something from you. I met Grand Pavilion last year while staying at a hostel in Prague. The two-member, uber-talented group hails from Brisbane, Australia. I spent some time looking into the band and their live setup blew me away. Shades of Robert Delong. Here is the single from their debut EP released last year. I reconnected with the band and plan to start following them more closely as they have another EP coming out very soon. I am super stoked about the upcoming release because the group was traveling around Europe last year recording audio samples everywhere from the Black Forest to the crowded streets of Paris.
