Tiigers latest release “Blood,” a single off the Alpha EP, styles an evil feeling bass sound with a certain outstanding trait: technicality. The arrangement, transitions, and drum patterns make the release memorable. Tiigers have been around the block a bit, they’ve had official releases signed to Never Say Die, plenty of tunes and streams under their belt, and have been a fast growing act within the bass scene. ”Blood” sets the tone for Alpha EP. Next is “Screws” on the 22nd, followed by the EP in full on March 1st.

Here’ some dark down low fat bass for you on this cold Saturday morning as Parisian production duo Alesia drop their remix of Dog Blood’s “Middle Finger” out March 4th via Boyz Noise, OWSLA, and Big Beat. True to their word of “fuck a genre,” this version is a dirty yet clean composition of bass, rhythm and sound that screams throw your middle fingers up, all for your listening pleasure. I’m sold, every time Alesia releases a new record, they always take us on a trip. Hold on tight. This is a must listen!
Indie, Progressive House | NONONO – Pumpin Blood (The Chainsmokers Remix)

The Swedish group NONONO (pronounced no-no-no..) very recently (though in all honesty it’s almost been a week) had their hit song “Pumpin Blood” remixed by The Chainsmokers and quite frankly, it’s not bad! It’s clearly not their best work and it actually kind of sucks but once you get passed all that it’s quite good! The track starts with a “really emotional piano intro that pulls you in”, according to them, and then climaxes at a good, yet oddly familiar drop that is probably a little too similar to their “Dreaming” remix. It then goes on to feature an almost trap like breakdown which certainly helps it stand out amongst their vast catalog of releases. This is likely not their best work but it’s still good song. We can’t expect them to hit a home run with every release because they just don’t have the talent to do so.
They have sold out big time and have their first original song “#Selfie” coming out on producing genius Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records on January 28th so get ready for that. It should be adequate.

Holy Ghost! 2 weeks ago released a dope remix of Blood Orange’s “You’re Not Good Enough” and it’s been on repeat all day ever since I saw it sitting on the Hypem chart. Ghost! is currently on tour and you can view the dates on his website here. I personally might have to check him out at Webster Hall on January 10th. A short edition of Middy’s Mashups, but this mashup is special. From PrototypeRaptor: Blood, sweat, and a ton of coffee went into making this track… it’s a ridiculous 8 minute and 45 second mashup/bootleg/remix of my favorite tracks from the Wolf’s new album, Weekend in America. The songs used are “Shrunken Heads/The Champ”, “The Way It Was and “Illmerica (RaptorEdit)”.

Here is Kaskades’s latest mashup he has released to the public, though he has been playing it in his sets for a while now. It is great for DJs to use because “Flash” has so much energy and the mashup works really well.
