Videos | Monstercat 3 Year Anniversary Video From Didrick

Posted by on September 17, 2014

monstercat-3-yearWow, it seemed like yesterday that Monstercat was started by its founder Mike Darlington and now three years in, things are bigger and better than anyone could have imagined. The label is not just a platform for artists to release their music on, but a marketing tool to connect with thousands of eager fans worldwide. To celebrate three years, Monstercat got Swedish producer, Didrick, who you may first remember for his remix of “I Can Be The One”, to mix and mash 78 tunes from the monstercat library into one wild 3-minute piece. The visuals to go along with it are the icing on the cake as you see Didrick working a launchpad and keyboard at the same time, while a drummer, guitarist and full backing band help provide the soundtrack to an outstanding three years of Monstercat. Cheers to you guys and to many more to come. You can grab the mashup and a compilation of Monstercat’s favorite tunes on iTunes here.

Oh wow, this new Slander is not at all what I expected it to be, but his remix of Arty’s “Up All Night” released via Insomniac Records is super cool! Those soulful vocals layered over this melodious trap beat are doing it for me, as there’s nothing better than uplifting trap music as it makes you feel like a G, and takes you to church all at the same time! Without a doubt, Arty and Slander make for a super talented collaboration, so if they’re listening, we want more of this! This is a must listen and look out for the release on September 9th!

Electronic | No Limits – Body Full Of Lightning

No Limits - Body Full Of Lightning

Think about the first time a sweet little something special graced the inside of your mouth. They come in a variety of colors and even flavors, but we all know that there is clearly one better than the rest. That’s right, the latest song by No Limits is comparable in quality to an orange Starburst. While not the best flavor, it still holds its own and makes for a pleasurable experience if you feel like chewing something for a minute and a half. If for some reason this metaphor isn’t doing it for you, I’ll word it in a way that’s not stupid. This is probably not their best song but it is still good and worthy of a listen. Even when they make something that doesn’t top their previous release, it is still of a high enough quality that it deserves to be heard.

Chill, Electronic | Nico & Vinz – Am I Wrong (Gryffin Remix)

Nico & Vinz - Am I Wrong (Gryffin Remix)

I can’t quite remember how I first came across Gryffin or how the heck that sesame seed got in my washroom, but ever since I first heard this song yesterday, I’ve been thinking about it sometimes. The vocals are great and the production is much better than the original. It has a chill, yet uplifting feel to it. It is pretty much the musical equivalent of driving around late at night in residential areas way too fast and with a sick exhaust, but in a good way. Free download of course.

Progressive House | Sander van Doorn, Martin Garrix, DVBBS – Gold Skies (Sava&Razz Remix)

Sander van Doorn, Martin Garrix, DVBBS - Gold Skies (Sava&Razz Remix)

Remix competitions are wonderful things because they allow us the opportunity to hear tens of remixes of the same song – something people definitely want. Another upside to them is that the winning remixes are often as good or better than the original. I think it would be fair to classify this remix as one of those. Sava & Razz are becoming regulars here on FNT and it’s because they consistently put out great tracks. They have crafted one of the better remixes for Martin Garrix, Sander van Doorn and DVBBS’ “Gold Skies” and they are giving it away for free.

A progressive house producer I’ve been keeping an eye on Patriot, who you might remember with his epic remix of Angels & Airwaves’ “The Flight Of The Apollo” hit me up with his latest, this time remixing the likes of New Jersey hip-hop duo I.O.U.‘s “Greatest Time Of My Life” off their album The Soul & The Intellect, and he hits the spot with this one! The greatest time of your life should be euphoric. and there’s nothing better than a smooth piano melody, and that progressive house sound to get you there! This is a must listen and make sure you cop that free download!

FYI | Justin Bieber Sings “One Less Lonely N*****” Once He Joins The Ku Klux Klan

Posted by on June 4, 2014

It’s been a rough week for the Biebs. Earlier this week, a video surfaced of Justin using the dreaded “N-Word” and the internet practically blew up. All was well though, because Scooter Braun Justin penned an apology and fans came to his defense citing “his best friends are black.” Seems legit, right?

Not quite, because yet another video has surfaced of Justin singing there will be “one less lonely n****” once he joins the Ku Klux Klan via TMZ. Usher’s head must be exploding right now. What’s perhaps even worse is many have speculated that the female laugh in the background is in fact Justin Bieber’s mother.

Justin Bieber is said to be 14 at the time of the video, which is more than old enough to know better than to use that word. How he recovers from this, I don’t know. What I do know is that he’ll probably be getting a call from Usher soon.

What a scumbag.
