Few countries have been able to pump out superstars quite like Australia has in recent years. Artists like Flume, Wave Racer, and Snakehips championed the rising future bass sound in America, while others like Anna Lunoe brought her signature brand of bass-y house stateside. This influx of Australian talent has led to the emergence of a new class of Australian artists ready to make their mark on dance music. The Perth-based duo, TIME PILOT, draw inspiration from the likes of Flume, Mr. Carmack, and Snakehips, and these inspirations shine through on his debut track, “Zulu,” as the duo intricately blends their “retro” style with thumping kicks and a booming drop.

Australia has become recognized for the genre-topping ‘Melbourne Bounce’ sounds, but Wave Racer is another breed of futuristic hopping taste-making. Their remix to Duke Dumont’s ‘The Giver’ is a pure testament of this producer’s caliber and again, he hasn’t let fans down. The original Charter topper looks like it’s coming back for another round here and I suggest you hop on this one ASAP.

House, Rap | Pusha T – Lunch Money (Sondrio Remix)

I sometimes have this feeling where I kinda know that something is about to be massive, and I am having that feeling about Sondrio from Australia. I don’t know much about the rising star, but I know he is putting out smashes. It sounds like he took the Kanye West production and added another layer of Kanye to it. King Push probably didn’t ask for a dance record, but Sondrio brought the fire flames!

Australia has flow and FEKI is pure testament to this fact. He just added some extra flavour to the upbeat ‘Chasing Time’ by Azealia Banks and “totally flipped the tables on the sound that Azealia Banks is known for” by slowing the tempo and constructing a futuristic slow jam. This is one for those long night-drives mixed with some good company – memories are made here. Sure to stay on repeat for the next few days cop this free download from the kid FEKI. Many moons ago, we had the opportunity to catch a Jessie Andrews set at SISU in Dallas at the urging of our friend and summer time authority Viceroy. We were pleasantly surprised. We even went for ice cream after but that’s for another time. This new “In Motion” effort from Jessie is solid body of work. Engineered by OWSLA’s Nick Thayer and recorded in North Melbourne, “In Motion” is simple but manages to cut through the clutter with groovy beats and feel good vibes proving sometimes simple is best. Jessie Andrews’s “In Motion” is avaiable on Beatport via ZIVS November 15th. Pick that up.

Exclusive, Featured, Progressive House | FNT Premiere: Tom Piper – You Don’t Know (Karboncopy Remix)

karboncopy

If we’re talking about two guys from Australia, Karboncopy is probably the duo who has provided me with the most pleasurable experience in the past 48 hours from a male. They have released some really good music in the past, but this one is my favorite and has been on repeat since I first heard it two days, or 48 hours ago. An official remix of Tom Piper’s “You Don’t Know” is what they were tasked with and it came out spectacularly. An understated piano carries the excellent vocals to the build where the anthemic melody takes over and climaxes powerfully at the drop. This remix is as good or better than the original, which is also below, and probably Karboncopy’s best to date. The stream can be found exclusively below and the song can be found on Beatport next Monday, October 13th.

Exclusive, Progressive House | FNT Premiere: Rob & Jack – Shadows (Karboncopy Remix)

ROB & JACK – SHADOWS (KARBONCOPY REMIX)

Karboncopy, connoisseurs of erotic styled literature and progressive house music are debuting their forthcoming remix of Rob & Jack’s “Shadows” right here on FNT. The track shares some similarities with their previous remix for Laidback Luke and Project 46’s “Collide”, as well as the hit summertime smash of autumn 2011, “Without You” by David Guetta, in the sense that they are all pretty good. A strong piano leads the song out of the break and into the build, where the rolling melody takes over and then climaxes, powerfully, at the drop. Karboncopy are tremendously skilled and in time are sure to be among the top progressive house artists coming out of Australia. The remix is out a week from today, July 21st. Until then, enjoy the stream exclusively below.
