This sexy little ditty found itself in my inbox, and I’m glad it did, it’s for some reason satisfying my caffeine crave, and I don’t even drink coffee, plus it’s been keeping my ADD focused, don’t you love it when music takes over your body and makes you forget everything? Hear KRNE and TasyTreat’s bass filled, jazz inspired, future trap hitting “Clouds,”  and it’ll take you right to where the title says, unless you’re already smoking one, and the room’s filled with it, then good for you!  Let these dudes take you to Cali, and show you how to chill. This is a must listen and a must download!

Bass, Future House, Jersey Club | Blaz – I.L.F.T.B.

blaz

Let me level with you: I’m not entirely sure how to categorize this bouncy, synthy, delicious groove of a track from Austin-based DJ and producer Blaz. Future beats? Disco-wave? Nu-garage? SPACETRONICA? I don’t know, and I don’t care. Did you enjoy Porter Robinson’s new album but wish it wasn’t such a friggin’ downer? This track has your name on it. Head to Blaz’s Soundcloud for more of the good stuff.

Bass, Chill | Ace Shocka – WAV (EP)

Posted by on August 28, 2014

There is very little music that I have the ability to listen to while I write or do other creative work. That being said, here I sit writing this post while being whisked away to a deserted island accompanied by the stylings of Ace Shocka. The NYU student and music producer has put together a three-track EP that sounds akin to a brilliant future-wave spin on Clams Casino.

The EP could fit perfectly on a label like Soulection, and perhaps even topped by some vocals from the likes of Waldo, GoldLink, or Vic Mensa.

WAV is an exciting start for this young gun, and it’ll be exciting where he takes it from here.

Bass, Chill, Trap | Royal – Royal’s Theme

Talk about a game changer. Royal has been on a grind lately, and with his newest release, “Royals Theme,” it doesn’t seem like he’ll be stopping anytime soon. As a teaser of his upcoming EP, the dude Royal just dropped this upbeat, fresh, and smooth future tune to get ya’ll psyched up, and I think he delivered pretty strong. Stay on the lookout for the full tracklist – I don’t think “disappointment” is a word this guy even knows.

Slinger might’ve called this his festival remix of Stromae’s “Papaoutai” cause it sounds like he took the original song, stuffed it in a racecar, took off with it, and you’re in the passenger seat with no seatbelt on! When I saw Papaoutai in my inbox, I knew this was going to be good, the original was actually my first write up on the site, and probably one of the illest track I’ve heard in a long time! This remix is your Friday night party, so have a great weekend! This is a must listen and a must download!

Hot damn this Enferno remix of Steve Aoki featuring Waka Flocka Flame’s “Rage The Night Away” goes hard, or better yet, it turns the fuck up! From a progressive house build up with vocals that sound like they’re from Justin Timberlake, to Wacka’s signature tag line ” Brick Squaaddddd,” the drop will make you lose your shit, like you see on festival recaps with oceans of people jumping up and down to a banger, just like that. And I know it’s only Wednesday, but the hell with it, let’s start this party early! This is a must listen!

Throwback to 2010, when Myth Syzer and Kaytranada worked on a tune together called “Widescreen,” and little did they know 4 years later their collaboration would resurface and take the internet by storm. With “Widescreen” you get a hip-hop instrumental which could serve as an homage to the late J. Dilla, so all my old-school hip hop fans rejoice,  on this Wednesday July 30th, I bring you that new school old school from two producers you shouldn’t be sleeping on! Oh yeah, and if you’re digging this, Kaytranada and his team just announced a Fall European, US tour, so check out the dates above, and get your tickets! This is a must listen and a must download!
