Cam Meekins (yet another artist hailing from Boston) recently teamed up with CrossCoast Interactive to seriously promote his music and hopefully solidify his name amongst the growing group of white rappers emerging in this game. These kids are smart, they stick together and utilize one another strengths. Take this track, for example. While Cam kills the catchy hook and some bars, Webby throws down some head bobbing flows. Chiddy Bang stopped by Jay-Z and Steve Stoute’s marketing agency, Transition LLC and spit a (actual) freestyle. Xaphoons on the keys and mixes that beat on the spot; these kids are so talented its ridiculous. Theres nothing more when I hate kids say they’re freestyling and they drop metaphors even drake couldn’t think of. You can hear him hesitate and flow with things in the room (steve stout, when the guy drops a coin, and steve stout) and then even ask for topics to rap with and still keeps it sick I’ve got too much respect for how sick this (actual) freestyle is, oh and he goes for 7 minutes by the way. (Shout out to dan bingyou aka Mr. Varsity)

Here at FNT were not really about the single posts, but as this is my top 3 favorite songs of this year, I had to do it. I know Drakes easy to hate with his mainstream tracks and new found fame, but trace back to his roots and you’ll see why he’s my favorite artist. Theres a reason after just releasing mixtapes he shot to the top and made it…without a deal. Here’s the original version (it’s way better than the current “final” version) without the tags. Get it.
