Here is the much anticipated “Purp Kobain” from legendary Dallas rapper Tum Tum. I gave the whole project a listen this morning and I was thoroughly impressed with Tum’s evolution as an artist. The mixtape is extremely smooth, thoughtful, and well executed. Production credits include grammy award winning Play-N-Skillz, Transformerz, and Pimp-N-Keys. When I was in Dallas with Bun for his “Trill O.G.” release party, he told me that this collaboration was coming. I just didn’t want to ruin the surprise for all you non-blogstars out there. On a side note, I know I’m likely talking to a bunch of northerners who are like, “UGK who?”, but do you think that Pimp C would have collaborated with Drake if he were alive? I guess Bun answered the question for me. Then again, maybe not.
