Kantor Drops Sophomore Multi-Genre Original “Sonic”

Posted by on November 2, 2018

“Sonic” is an aggressively melodic blend of sounds and influences with which Kantor seamlessly fluctuates between trap-inflected future bass and drum and bass. The result is unique, providing a stark contrast that overflows with futuristic energy and dynamic melody. Furthermore, the release’s intricate layering and rhythmic complexity are personified by arpeggiated synths and alluring percussion. With Kantor’s latest having been in development for over a year, listeners will agree that “Sonic” was well worth the wait.

Previously known as 5 & A Dime, Kantor has undergone a massive branding overhaul, promising a dark and moody yet powerful and emotionally-driven sound. Accompanying that sound are live performances on custom-designed DDR pad, exemplifying an personification of ‘neo-retrofuturism.’ Prior to rebranding, Kantor had performed with the likes of Steve Aoki and Kendrick Lamar and was supported by acts such as The Chainsmokers, DJ Snake, Tiesto and many more.
