FNT favorite Viceroy collaborating with WhiteNoize is back with his first original since his EP in the fall. It has an old school house feel with a prominent, funky bass line, horn samples and vocal sample that helps carry the melody. It is a nice change of pace to hear that old school house sound with all of the electro and progressive house tracks these days. This track reminds it is Summertime, All The Time, so finish up those finals and get to summer. It will be out on Beatport on May 7th. UPDATED with Beatport Link

As you wind down your weekend tonight, take a moment to check out the latest original release from Easy Does It. Time and time again, Easy Does It delivers smooth, laid back jams that you can’t help but keep on repeat (dont believe me? Check out Feelin Like Ooh). In Pocket Full Of Change, Easy Does It couples deep lyricism with a light rock instrumental. This unique style put me at a loss for how to categorize this track, is it Hip-Hop? kinda. Is it rock? A little. Or, maybe its a new genre. Maybe its “Easy Does It”…

Nostalgia uploaded the preview of this dirty track about a month ago, since then I have been dying for its release. Just tonight he put it up for free download…awesome. This track is pretty dirty, Nostalgia has released a few freebies this year all reflecting the same. Not a bad track to close out the weekend to for a dubstep lover.

This track reminds me of The Glitch Mob’s ‘Warrior Concerto.’ It is just an epic orchestral/electro track, the build up of the track is beautiful. Once the heavy electro beat drops, you can almost feel the epic space battle that is taking place within this track. S.U.C.K. did an incredible job despite what their name says.

After being drained of all my energy from this weekend, this track is fueling me back up to power through these last few weeks of school. Besides Collie Buddz being my favorite artist, this is the third Drum & Bass track from Drifta that I have fallen in love with. Drifta keeps the beat basic, but perfectly matched with the raise of speed in vocals.

After sinning on Saturday night, and repenting Sunday morning, I get to worship Jetpack Jones’ newest track. He had been telling me for about two weeks that this was the best song of his career. And I didn’t believe until about 5 minutes ago, when I heard it. Jetpack picks up highschool pal Cliff Savage to hop on the track with him, and GeekSquad handles the beat. But the highlight of the song is easily Jetpack’s verse. I won’t say any more, and I’ll leave you to worship this track for yourself. Although I would reccommend liking Jetpack Jones’ facebook page below to stay updated on his ever evolving career.

I recently had the opportunity to interview Kid Ink while he was performing in Minneapolis, MN. I hit him with my “On The Spot” interview to see what kind of responses I would get.
