Mashups | Super Mash Bros – Yo Dawg, I Heard You Like Music So I Put Songs In This Song So You Can Listen To Music While You Listen to Music – Xzibit

Super Mash Bros Yo Dawg, I Heard You Like Music So I Put Songs In This Song So You Can Listen To Music While You Listen to Music – Xzibit

Super Mash Bros are back with quite the eclectic mashup. Featuring tracks from all genres with classics like, “Everybody Dance Now” to recent sensations such as, “Pumped Up Kicks,” Super Mash Bros delivers as usual. While the track is definitely worth a download, is it just me or does this Girl Talk/Super Mash Bro style of mashups seem so boring compared to the bangers 3LAU, Kap Slap, & DJ Trademark have been putting out?

Albums | Album Review and Remix Download: Lana Del Rey- Born To Die

Lana Del Rey Yayo Album Review and Remix Download: Lana Del Rey Born To Die Do you know who the Queen of Betchiness is? I’m asphyxiating on how chic this woman is. Well, its Lana del Rey, whom I want to hate because I’m naturally cynical, but she’s the almond milk to my usually black iced coffee. I’m really over how into her EP I was and it was just of just 4 songs. My poor little rich asian neighbor is just as over it, unfortunately. I think my life is pretty dandy, but I’d give it up to of had her life. Only this Betch. A Connecticut boarding school grad (girl after my own heart) loving America, being super trendy in a 1995 way, having soulful music and being the perfect Ginger Harlet. There is a reason she debuted at number 2 today with her first album. Figure it out. “Diet Mountain Dew” “Blue Jeans” and “National Anthem” are tres magnifique to the point that I’m sick. BUY ON iTunes! Or be a wack. Whatever, your loss not mine.

ANYWAYS, so since you have to buy the album, FNT wanted to give you a free AH-Mazing Dubstep remix that will break your heart and make you want to rage at the same time. Perf. This remix by Gemini will do the trick and, yes, it has been out for a while so don’t throw a temper tantrum music buffs because I’m over people complaining about Lana. She’s my girl.

Echo Boom Final Cris Cab Echo Boom(Mixtape)

After his releases, I expected nothing but a great mixtape from Cris Cab, but man did he go above and beyond my expectations. Cris’ sound is so unique and refreshing from other music today. Receiving help on production from Pharell, 88keys, and other notable producers, Cris provides us with soulful and reggae inspired songs and phenomenal vocals. Cris Cab definitely has what the tools to make it big, especially when he’s got help from Pharell, so expect to hear a lot more from Cris.

Hip-Hop | Mike Stud – Happy Ending (Music Video)

Brand new visuals from Mike Stud of “Happy Ending”, one of the more emotional tracks off his debut album/mixtape A Toast To Tommy. The video co-directed by Jon Kilmer & Mike Stud perfectly capture the many stories told in the song. You can’t help but feel the pain of each character in it. If you are one of the few to yet download Mike Stud’s A Toast To Tommy, do yourself a favor and download it here.

Dubstep | Datsik & Cookie Monsta

dm267 450x450 Datsik & Cookie MonstaTwo dubtep heavy weights, releasing two monster tunes this week. It is fair to say there has been a constant flow of good releases for the past few weeks and that there is more to come. Datsik’s new single Fully Blown featuring Snak The Ripper on the vocals goes all out. With Datsik on the track you know not expect anything less than his heavy synths and bass. If this is a preview of what is going to be on his album then things look promising. Get it on Beatport HERE.

Finally we get something new from Cookie Monsta and it came at the perfect time. John Dahlback’s electro remix to this track was posted a few weeks ago, but I wasn’t expecting Cookie Monsta to crush this remix. He uses the vocals superbly to build the suspense into his bass packed drop. I can only imagine how heavy this track is on a good sound system, but either way this remix is a must have. Also keep a look out for a release date on his EP, which should be soon. Grab this track on Beatport HERE.

Electro-House, Trance | Porter Robinson (Preview), Wolfgang Gartner, Venom, Maison & Dragen

Fresh off Above & Beyond’s stellar performance last night, it’s needless to say – I’m still awake. I left the club diagnosed with an evermore addiction to bass thumping, fist pumping, bodies bumping syndrome. So, having been inspired by ruptured ringing ear drums, I dedicate this post to the appreciation of records like these heard in live, real energetic environments.

So remember that tight mixtape I posted a while ago by Quiet Storm? If not, check it out. Quiet Storm dropped off some visuals for your viewing pleasure to the title track of the mixtape, Name In Lights. Instead of going with the studio version, Quiet Storm decides to switch it up and go over the live version to add a little more emphasis to the song. Some dope visuals and make sure you check them out.
